Last night Ashley and I went down to Six Flags here in Jackson, NJ. It was opening night for the season and I can tell you that I was as excited as can be.
In a nutshell the excitement was well worth it. We had a blast going on each ride and got home well past 1am staying at the park right until closing.

The superman ride was absolutely wonderful. We went on it twice. I would definitely rate it in the top 5 rides I’ve been on. It was so smooth, and that feeling of flying through the air is so amazing that the urge to shout out, “Superman” is drowning in its flood to come out as your being twirled and swooped through the air on your back. I say indulge your self and let that yell come on out. I did, twice. You are after all in an amusement park, so go ahead and amuse yourself.
Kingda Ka, was out of service when we went to ride it and was closed for the night by the time we looped back at the end of our circuit, which was very sad. I was really looking forward to being accelerated from 0 to 120+ MPH, back to Zero, to a 120 and then back to a zero, climbing a vertical incline and then coming down on a similar vertical incline with a 180 twist to the track plummeting to the ground before leveling off at the end of the ride. And all this UNDER 12 seconds. It’s a good thing I’ve been on the “Dragster” at Ceder Point in Ohio, which is quite simply said the exact same ride. For those of you who have not been on either, IT’S A MUST GO. I would even be bold enough to say it will simply blow you away.
The other highlight of the night was “Nitro”. A very fact paced ride with the most number of humps and turn on a ride that I’ve been on. With speeds approaching 80 MPH, and the main highlight of the ride being a 215 foot plummeting dive from a 230 foot hill, I came off the ride going WHOA!!!
All in all it was a very very nice way to start off spring, which I hope will come soon. I am very much done with the cold for this year.
And with that, adios to all till my next post on some random topic.
