7 Things about me that no one is really interested in knowing 
- I am a photographer. My equipment of choice is a Canon 40D and you can see some of my pictures here
- I love food. Like any Sri Lankan, good food is something to get excited about. There is nothing like a good steak or leg of lamb roasted to perfection
- I’m lazy and am quite happy surfing the internet for random bits of information that I think is interesting or out taking a hundred gazzilion pictures of a rock formation
- I am a user experience designer by profession
- I like Yani and Kitaro. Deal with it
- I am a HUGE fantasy buff. Not the tech out of space type fantasy but the type involving magicians and ancient kingdoms and sorcery etc… I am very picky about my fantasy. [Why does that just sound wrong!]
- I love comics and Anime. Tin TIn, Asterix, and Naruto to name a few
Ahh and the list has ended. I’m sure there are more if i pick my brain enough but the list allows me no more.

sorry for the late replies..
for those who wondered where i’ve been. A very hectic work schedule has been keeping away from blogging but I’m trying to get better at fitting it in
as for what user experience is i dont really know where to start. its an area of Information Architecture that concentrates on the usability of a site or software application, or the users experience using the site and application. This can mean something as simple as color combinations to make a site more readable to much more complicated methodologies where we conduct a bunch of usability tests to get to know the target audience and design for a particular audience.
Thats pretty much what it is in a nutshell. I’ll try and write a more detailed explanation on it in the form of a blog post so you can read more about it.

UI design is part of my responsibilities, but i tend to lean more towards Usability and Usability testing
